Ideas from your competitors’ data.
VidsTracker knows what works in your niche. Claude and ChatGPT are great at turning that into ideas. Connect them and ask in plain words.
What your AI can do with VidsTracker
It can read your folders, channels, outliers, saved videos, and title and thumbnail changes. It can’t change anything in your account.
1. Get your private link
In VidsTracker, open Ideate and tap Connect Claude or ChatGPT (or go to Settings → Claude & ChatGPT). After that, every Ideate mode has Open in Claude and Open in ChatGPT buttons. Copy it: it’s only shown once. Anyone with the link can read your VidsTracker data, so keep it private. You can turn it off or make a new one any time.
2. Add it to your AI
Claude
- Open Settings → Connectors.
- Tap Add custom connector.
- Name it VidsTracker and paste your link.
- In a new chat, open the tools menu and turn VidsTracker on.
ChatGPT
- Open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
- Tap Create, name it VidsTracker and paste your link.
- Choose No authentication and save.
- In a new chat, pick VidsTracker from the tools.
The menu names can change a little between versions of each app.
3. Ask
Start your message with “Use VidsTracker” so your AI knows where to look. Some ideas:
Winning formats
Their formats, your topics
Double down
Market intelligence
Thumbnails
In Claude you also find ready-made prompts in the VidsTracker menu: Winning title formats, Competitor formats → my channel, Double down across my channels, Check a format and What my competitors are piling into.
Tip: in VidsTracker, every video’s ⋮ menu has Ask Claude / ChatGPT about this format, which copies a ready prompt for that video.
Good to know
- Your AI only sees the channels you track in VidsTracker. Add your own channels to My network and your competitors to Competitors.
- The outlier score is how much a video beat normal: views ÷ subscribers for long videos, views ÷ the channel’s typical Short for Shorts.
- Your AI is the one writing the ideas. Always check them before you publish.
